Clean energy venture proposed for Bourne landfill

Plankton Power may be the first alternative-energy venture to set up shop at the Bourne landfill off MacArthur Boulevard. The Lower Cape firm plans to capture carbon dioxide from flare burn-off emissions at the disposal facility, bottle it and take it to a lab at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution to grow algae and create a bio-fuel.

On Friday, the Metro Vancouver board of directors met to decide on the very important question of what to do with the garbage the citizens of Metro Vancouver produce. Apparently, a decision was made. What that decision was is hard to say. It's hard to say if it was even a decision, but we'll get to that in a moment.
